April 19, 2017 – Facility contact center Webhelp Nederland has acquired a majority interest in Telecats, market leader in language and speech technology for customer contact solutions. The company uses speech technology for customer identification, demand classification and routing, self-service and analytics. Telecats systems are used by leading Dutch and European blue chip organizations that handle millions of calls every month. Wim Luimes, member of the board of Telecats, is enthusiastic about the opportunities offered by the acquisition: “Webhelp's international portfolio and ambitions definitely help us to achieve our growth objectives. As an experience innovator, there is no better partner to be found. We will use our collective expertise to contribute to a sustainable improvement in customer experience.”
Telecats will remain based in Enschede. Jan Willem Mulder, Martin Spitholt and Wim Luimes will continue to form the management. Webhelp has the ambition to become a global business process outsourcer with a portfolio in service, solution design and technology enablement. In 2016, Webhelp took over parties in the field of social media strategy (Netino) and digital strategy (MyStudioFactory). Webhelp shows that it wants to be a business process partner for its customers.
