Salesforce is introducing a series of partnerships around its new Agentforce concept. Agentforce is a suite of autonomous AI agents that augment employees and handle tasks in the areas of service, sales, marketing and commerce.
Agentforce's promise is great: companies could manage their workforce with just a few clicks scale up. At Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual user conference, several partnerships were announced that will make Agentforce an open ecosystem called the Agentforce Partner Network, enabling companies to perform complex tasks that require connecting actions across Salesforce and a broad network of third-party systems and agents.
Partners such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, IBM and Workday are expanding Agentforce with new agent actions, ready-to-use agent templates, and partner agents that can schedule and execute actions on behalf of users and companies across multiple systems.
These partners can develop agent actions to bring new skills or integrations with third-party apps and agents to Agentforce. They can also develop agent templates to support specialized industries or lines of business use cases. Customers can install these actions and agent templates directly into the Salesforce Platform via AppExchange and use them in Agent Builder to customize out-of-the-box agents, build new agents with unique skills, or deploy new agents based on predefined templates.
The Agentforce Partner Network is primarily intended to help AI agents interact with a variety of applications. To do this, autonomous AI agents need the skills, data, and domain knowledge to navigate multiple systems, databases, and other agents to get their work done. With the Agentforce Partner Network, customers can now access a catalog of third-party skills, actions, and agents directly within the Salesforce Platform to make AI agents even more capable and unleash a borderless digital workforce, according to Salesforce.
For integration and implementation, Salesforce relies on a global network of system integrators – including Accenture, Deloitte Digital, Capgemini, IBM Consulting and PwC.
Salesforce calls Agentforce “a monumental shift in the industry,” empowering people with AI to redefine how companies achieve customer success. (Salesforce)
