Wout makes an assessment of the urgency based on the chat conversation. Every report received via Wout is checked by a police officer during the trial period. Even if the chat conversation with Wout does not go well, you will automatically be transferred to live chat with a police officer. The action to be taken is determined on the basis of the report and the available capacity.

In recent years, the police have noticed that people want to get in touch with the police in a different way than just by telephone or internet. For relatively simple matters, people want to pass on a report easily and quickly. The police expects that virtual agent Wout can play a good role in this. An earlier test with reports of fireworks nuisance was positive.
