digitally accessibleOn March 16, the Ministry of the Interior will launch a dashboard that shows in one overview how accessible the government's websites and apps are. 25 percent of the registered websites and apps do not yet comply with the law digital accessibility. The dashboard currently contains more than 4.100 websites and apps. Nearly 3.000 of them comply with the law on digital accessibility. But it is estimated that there are more than 10.000 government websites and apps in total. 4,5 million people have problems using government websites and apps.

To complete the dashboard, DigiToegankelijk is working on an overview of government websites and apps that do not yet have an accessibility statement. DigiToeganelijk will submit this overview to government organizations in the coming period, asking them to check and supplement it.

With the dashboard, the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, client of Digiaccessible, wants to offer governments a tool to gain more insight into the accessibility of their own digital communication.

An accessibility officer or an internal supervisor can use the dashboard to check for which websites and apps the government organization is responsible in total. In addition, the status of digital accessibility of the organization can be seen at a glance. The dashboard also offers tools for supervision. (Source: Domestic Administration)
