CM.com closed 2024 with positive financial results. The company recorded a record level in EBITDA and achieved a positive free cash flow for the first time. This marks a turning point after consecutive years of disappointing figures.
In 2022, the company achieved the sales target not and in 2023 CM.com still suffered a net loss of 28,7 million euros, on a turnover of 266 million euros.
This turnaround is largely due to a strategic restructuring, significant cost savings and accelerated digitalization, in particular through the introduction of the Agentic AI platform HALO, according to the commentary accompanying the annual figures. In 2023, the workforce of Reduced from 900 to 720 FTE and foreign offices were closed. The management structure was also adjusted.
The interventions are now bearing fruit: EBITDA went from -0,9 million in 2023 to 18,1 million euros in 2024 and turnover increased by 3% to almost 275 million euros. A positive free cash flow of 3,4 million euros was also achieved for the first time. The workforce has shrunk even further to 666 FTE.
The company wants to fully focus on the automated answering of customer questions and the optimization of its services. At the end of last year, CM.com announced the launch of its own Agentic AI platform HALO known, which should make CM.com an AI-first company. According to CM.com, AS Watson (the parent company of Kruidvat and Trekpleister) has already embraced the solution. Investments have also been made in the further development of payment solutions, such as offline POS payments and its own processing platform for Visa and Mastercard. In addition, the company remains active with ticketing services and has managed to attract the Notre-Dame in Paris, which attracts 15 million visitors per year, as a customer.
CM.com expects to grow further in 2025 to an EBITDA of 22 to 27 million euros, with AI as the core of the business strategy and by further developing HALO. (Ziptone/editor)
