Aspect Software merged on May 10 with Noble Systems and continues under a new name: Alvaria. The new combination will be led by Patrick Dennis, president and CEO of Aspect. The merger was made possible in part by Abry Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm that now holds a majority stake in the new company. Aspect's previous owner, Vector Capital, remains involved as a minority shareholder. The merger is worth more than $1 billion. Jim Noble, founder and CEO of Noble Systems, will remain on board with Abry and Alvaria as an advisor. Analysts see opportunities for the new and unexpected combination.
According to Michael Harris, Chief Product Officer and CMO of the new organization, Alvaria will be launched immediately and on an aggressive schedule, starting with the introduction of the new corporate identity and website, www.alvaria.com. Customers of Aspect Software and Noble Systems can continue to use their existing services and products, but will transition seamlessly to Alvaria's solutions over time, according to the new organization's press statement.
