LAMs are a specialized subset of Large Language Models (LLMs). Where LLMs specialize in generating text and answers, large action models (LAMs) provide output in the form of transactions. LAMs do not require instructions for each specific task. LAMs are capable of calling functions, reasoning within functions, and scheduling functions. In the context of customer contact LAMs can do more than just understand and generate content like LLMs. LAMs automate workflows and manage and monitor tasks.
