CCMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)

CCMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)

by Erik Bouwer

CCMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is an originally American framework that is used to measure and improve the maturity of processes within IT organizations. The model, developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University, describes five levels of process maturity: from initial, unstructured processes (Level 1) to optimized and continuously improving processes (Level 5). CCMI is used to help organizations implement standardized processes, with the aim of higher quality and consistency in IT services.
