Ziptone is the continuation of online medium Klantcontact .nl, which was acquired in 2019 by Erik Bouwer, the founder of KPS BV. KPS BV is the current publisher of Ziptone.

The name Ziptone refers to the sound the ACD to alert a contact center agent that a new customer call is being presented on the headset, also known as a 'beep tone'. Of course, the telephone conversation is not the only form of contact between companies and their customers. Ziptone therefore also stands for the core of doing business: the dialogue between companies and their customers never ends, there is always another conversation.

For the editors, the substantive value of articles and news items is paramount. This also applies to the contributions that are made in collaboration with the knowledge partners. They commit themselves to independent, critical reporting by the editors and help make this possible financially.

Cases (recognizable by the 'case' tag at the end of articles) are drawn up in collaboration with a knowledge partner.
